The Second Avenue subway line is changing the Upper East Side. Sure it’s messy now, but for buyers that can see past the inconvenience there may be a chance to make some great deals. I recently sold two one-bedroom apartments right next to the subway site to a couple that saw the chaos of construction as an opportunity. The deal was mentioned in the New York Post.

The subway is expected to increase foot traffic in the area, which in turn should increase the number of retail businesses, which will ultimately affect the value of residential real estate. There’s also lots of new construction that’s revitalizing the area.
